Naloxone Training & Distribution

Our Coalition offers substance use awareness and naloxone training presentations to anyone, at no co

Learn more below about what our training entails, and how you can schedule one for your group.

What is covered in our naloxone training?

 Trainings usually takes 1 hour and includes the following: 

  • Basics of opioids, fentanyl, and methamphetamine
  • New and emerging substances of concern
  • The impact on our community
  • How to recognize an opioid overdose
  • Training on how to administer Naloxone to save a life
  • Overview of local resources for treatment and recovery


They are provided to anyone upon request, including organizations, community groups, families, and even individuals. We come to where you are - anywhere in Sacramento County. We can also do presentations over Zoom!

Our Naloxone Kits

Our Naloxone kits contain the following:

  1. Generic Naloxone box with 2 doses inside
  2. CPR face shield - acts as a barrier between you and the victim's mouth and nose, with a one way valve that allows air to flow only from you to the victim (minimizing the risk of cross contamination)
  3. Moist towelettes
  4. Information about the Sacramento County Opioid Coalition, local treatment resources, and naloxone
