Coalition Structure

The goal of the Sacramento County Methamphetamine Coalition is to identify and implement initiatives addressing the methamphetamine use problem and reducing methamphetamine use and its impact in Sacramento County. 


The Sacramento County Methamphetamine Coalition seeks to increase enrollment in Sacramento’s substance use treatment programs while decreasing meth use throughout the county.

Coalition Structure

The Sacramento County Methamphetamine Coalition is managed by Sacramento County Behavioral Health Services, Substance Use Prevention and Treatment division. 


The Sacramento County Opioid Coalition and Sacramento County Methamphetamine Coalition have a shared Executive Committee which oversees activities and has representatives from multiple public-serving local organizations.

The mission of Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Services is to promote a healthy community and reduce the harmful effects associated with alcohol and drug use, while remaining responsive to, and reflective of the diversity among individuals, families and communities.

Coalition meetings are held quarterly. Each meeting features presentations from local experts and organizations, information regarding substance trends in Sacramento County, and stories of lived experience. Meet others in our community who care about the impacts of methamphetamine use and learn more about local resources. 

Partner Toolkit

The Sacramento County Methamphetamine Coalition is working to decrease the use and sale of methamphetamine in Sacramento. It is critical that we continue to share these messages of hope and affirmation to those suffering from methamphetamine use. You can encourage others to get help by sharing our message with your communities.


With your help, we can encourage people who use meth, and their support systems, to engage with Sacramento County treatment programs. Combine the images and messages provided to help spread the word.

FunDing statements

Sacramento County Department of Health Services contracts with the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to fund local substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services. As part of the contract with DHCS, Sacramento County Department of Health Services, Behavioral Health Services Division – Substance Use Prevention and Treatment Services (formerly Alcohol and Drug Services) ensures that state SUD treatment requirements and standards are met. 

Sacramento County Provider SUD treatment programs are licensed, registered and approved in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
