A monthly, free support group for those who have lost family members and loved ones to opioids and fentanyl.
Losing A Loved One to Opioids
The loss of a loved one is always an incredibly painful experience, and losing someone to opioids can feel especially overwhelming. Due to societal stigma associated with substance use disorder, navigating the grief process after a loss can be daunting. Our mission with Hear to Heal is to create a kindness-based, judgment-free space for those who want to learn how to process grief, connect with others who have a similar experience, and discuss topics regarding opioid use and loss.
Hear to Heal meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of every month, beginning at 6 PM. Each meeting is facilitated by a licensed behavioral health professional and focuses on opioid use and dealing with loss. Meetings are now being held virtually or in Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society’s (SSVMS) office.
Next Meeting: Tuesday December 3rd, 6pm - 7pm
